MathBrain

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 11 October 2026

This policy explains how the MathBrain app for Android and iOS ("the app"), published by Bexcode Services ("we", "us"), handles information.

Summary

The app does not collect personal information. Everything it needs is kept on your device, and nothing is sent to us or sold or shared with anyone. The only way information reaches us is if a grown-up chooses to write to us (see "Contacting us").

Information stored on your device

To work, the app saves the following only on your device:

  • the players you add: a first name or nickname, a picture chosen from the app's built-in set, and whether the player is a child or a grown-up;
  • for a child, the month and year of birth (never the day), used only to work out their age and school class so the app can pick suitable questions, and any change of class a grown-up makes;
  • each player's settings (chosen operations, difficulty level for grown-ups, reminder time, sound preference);
  • each player's game history (dates, time spent, right and wrong answers, and the exercises answered), their adventure progress and rewards (stars, badges, stickers, friends, certificates, and what their character is wearing) and minutes played per day for the last 30 days, which a grown-up sees on the parent dashboard and which the optional daily time limit uses;
  • whether you have an active MathBrain VIP subscription, so the app also works offline.

This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us. It is deleted when you remove a player, uninstall the app or clear its data.

Purchases

MathBrain VIP subscriptions are sold through Google Play (on Android) or the App Store (on iOS). The store processes your payment; we never receive your payment details. The app only asks the store on your device whether a subscription is active. Google's and Apple's handling of your purchase information is described in their own privacy policies:

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules training reminders locally on your device. No push notification service or server is involved.

Read aloud

When a player taps "Read aloud", the question (numbers and words such as "plus") is spoken by your device's own text-to-speech service. The app sends nothing to us. Your device's speech service is provided by Google or Apple under their own policies.

Ratings

After a few good games, the app may ask Google Play or the App Store to show their own rating prompt. Whether it appears, and anything you write in it, is handled by the store; we don't receive it through the app.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no crash-reporting services, and it does not track you across apps or websites.

Certificates

A grown-up can share a certificate (an image with the player's name, the badge or world, and the date). Sharing only happens when a grown-up chooses it, after the grown-up check, through the phone's own share menu, to the app and person the grown-up picks. We never receive it.

Contacting us

The app's "Contact us" link opens a form hosted by Google Forms. If a grown-up fills it in, what they type (and an email address, if they give one) is sent to us so we can answer, and is handled by Google as described in Google's privacy policy. We use it only to reply, don't share it, and delete it when it's no longer needed. You can also email us at info@bexcodeservices.com.

Links to websites

The app links to our terms of use, this policy and the contact form. These open in your browser, and the websites you visit are governed by their own privacy policies.

Children

MathBrain is designed for children and families. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13: names and birth months stay on the device and are never sent to us or anyone else. Purchases, the subscription screen, adding or removing players, the contact form and other links that leave the app are protected by a check that asks a grown-up to type numbers written as words. The app has no chat, no ads and no way to contact other users.

Parents can see and change a child's details at any time in Settings (tap the player at the top, then the pencil), and delete a player there together with all of their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and its effective date.
